Lisa Engström, a former ski instructor and lifelong Breckenridge local, got tired of watching visitors waste half their morning standing in crowded rental lines. She opened a small storefront on Main Street with 40 pairs of skis, a handful of boards, and a radical idea: let people book gear online the night before and walk in to a setup that's already sized, tuned, and waiting.
Summit became one of the first rental shops in the area to offer full online pre-booking. Customers could reserve their exact gear package, provide sizing info, and skip the morning line entirely.
Free gear delivery to lodges and hotels throughout Breckenridge. Customers could get fitted in their condo and hit the slopes by first chair without ever stepping foot in the shop.
The fleet expanded to over 200 units of current-season gear, including premium demo packages from Nordica, Blizzard, and Volkl. A full team of certified boot fitters and ski techs joined the crew.
